PIONEER wins Arendator Awards in two categories

Real estate developer PIONEER became the first in two Arendator Awards 2023 nominations — Property Developer of the Year and Best Shopping Centre Project.

PIONEER, which was named Property Developer of the Year according to the award, is actively developing its commercial property segment: over the past three years, it has commissioned more than 156,000 m² of space. Another 168 thousand m² are under construction: Ostankino business park, MFC Botanica and business centre Opus. The real estate developer, being the first investor under the city’s programme for creating places of employment, is making an important social and economic contribution to the development of Moscow and will provide more than 12.5 thousand jobs in the near future.

The Botanica shopping centre, winner of the Best Shopping Centre Project nomination, is part of a large multifunctional complex of the same name. The total area of the four-storey mall is 53 thousand m². Anchor tenants are well-known chains of supermarkets, household appliances, clothing, catering and other retail segments. As of today, the retail space is 80% occupied.

Botanica is located near the Botanicheskiy Sad metro station, which is one of the top three in terms of passenger traffic in the capital. Potential coverage of the object’s audience is more than 400 thousand people: residents of the neighbouring districts, office personnel, as well as metro and MCC station passengers.
The complex project concept was developed by the Japanese bureau Nikken Sekkei, providing for atrium, terraces, exploitable roof, food hall in addition to spacious retail areas. The interior design of public areas was carried out by the Spanish bureau CLK in eco-style, using natural colours and materials, which emphasises the proximity of the Main Botanical Garden, the Garden of the Future park, into which the adjacent territory of the shopping centre is integrated. The decoration of MFC Botanica will be a light-dynamic structure located in the inner courtyard and connecting the passageway to the YE’S apart-hotel.

The project of the shopping centre, which is planned to be opened in 2024, provides additional amenities for visitors: an underground passage to the metro, parking, and comfortable recreation areas.

The Arendator Awards is a federal award in the field of commercial property and is held to define development standards and vectors of development of the commercial property market for professionals, to form a reliable and simple reference point for tenants and investors when choosing commercial property.
