Architectural Lighting to Highlight the Copper Elements of PRIDE's Facade

More than 1,000 projectors of various shapes and sizes will illuminate the modern family-oriented premium residential complex on Polkovaya Street during the evening hours. The PIONEER-developed project in Maryina Roshcha will feature an architectural lighting concept designed by L1 Group, emphasizing the interplay between natural motifs and ambient light. The lighting will be installed using equipment from FIBERLI, a Turkish brand with over 30 years of expertise in architectural illumination.

The lighting composition will ensure full illumination of the first floors of all buildings during the evening, highlighting the beauty of the facades. As the light moves upward, its intensity will gradually decrease, creating a subtle sense of movement and weightlessness in the structures. On the tall towers, only the protruding decorative lamellas will be illuminated, reinforcing the architectural features and forming a dynamic lighting pattern. The lighting designers have carefully integrated reflective surfaces and shadow play to enhance the overall aesthetic.

“When developing the architectural lighting concept, we drew inspiration from natural elements—sunlight, shadows, organic forms, and textures. We observed how natural light interacts with shapes and applied this principle to architecture. Instead of using intense lighting, we incorporated warm, soft illumination seamlessly into the facade design. The lighting subtly accentuates individual architectural elements, coming together to form a cohesive visual composition. We focused not only on how the building appears from a distance in the evening skyline but also on the pedestrian perspective, which is just as important,” said Ivan Fedyanin, Head of L1 Group.

To highlight the architectural features, the project will include 860 linear slim-profile projectors emitting warm light, accentuating the structural details of the facade. The ground floors will be equipped with an additional 242 linear light fixtures.

“The lighting will bring out PRIDE’s unique character. The warm color tone was carefully selected to harmonize with the copper elements of the facade, reinforcing the concept of natural elegance and refined simplicity. The project will also feature energy-efficient lighting solutions to minimize energy consumption and reduce environmental impact,” noted Maria Belotskaya, Project Director for PRIDE.

PIONEER plans to begin installing the architectural lighting in the third quarter of this year, with the first phase of PRIDE scheduled for completion by the end of 2025.
